You can create and manage folders in the pinned apps section The tech giant said it was added to new Dev Channel builds of Windows 11 based on user feedback about the feature. We've heard from many of you that you'd like to customize your pins by organizing them into folders, so we're introducing the first version of folders in this release. All you have to do is drag an app on top of another to create a folder. You can add more apps to the folder, rearrange the apps in the folder, and delete apps from the folder. Microsoft also says it's reimagining the focus experience on Windows with DND and Focus. While Do Not Disturb makes it easy to silence notifications, Focus is a new experience that keeps everyone in the moment. To help you stay on track, Focus integrates with the Clock app with other focus tools, such as a focus timer and calming music. This release also adds live subtitles, which will help everyone, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing, better understand the audio by viewing subtitles for spoken content. Subtitles are automatically generated on the device from any content with audio, and can appear at the top or bottom of the screen, or in a floating window. The tech giant is rolling out an update to File Explorer’s Quick Access View. First, pinning to Quick Access support has been expanded from supporting only folders to now supporting files as well. What you might also want to remember is that pinned files appear in a new section above recent files in Quick Access. To help you control storage consumption and ensure your files are in sync, we've added OneDrive integration to File Explorer. When browsing OneDrive folders, you can now view sync status and quota usage without leaving File Explorer. And, for those using the new operating system on a tablet or phone, this release includes 5 new touch gestures to make it easier and faster to navigate Windows 11 with touch on your PC. Other new features include improved Snap Layouts, more sustainable power settings and recommendations, Task Manager redesign and Productivity Mode, and more improvements for browsing the web in Microsoft Edge with Narrator.
