HTML does not support HTML pages embedded within HTML pages. Implement this functionality by using:

  • Use Ajax - let a server call to get the corresponding HTML page and set it in the innerHTML of the HTML control.
  • Use server-side includes - JSP, PHP and other web-side server technologies can include HTML pages in dynamic pages.

Using AngularJS, we can use the ng-include directive to embed one HTML page into another HTML page.

<div ng-app="" ng-controller="studentController">
  <div ng-include="'main.html'"></div>
  <div ng-include="'subjects.html'"></div>
</div>

Example
tryAngularJS.html

<html>
<head>
<title>Angular JS Includes</title>
<style>
table, th , td {
  border: 1px solid grey;
  border-collapse: collapse;
  padding: 5px;
}
table tr:nth-child(odd) {
  background-color: #f2f2f2;
}
table tr:nth-child(even) {
  background-color: #ffffff;
}
</style>
</head>
<body>
<h2>AngularJS Sample Application</h2>
<div ng-app="" ng-controller="studentController">
<div ng-include="'main.html'"></div>
<div ng-include="'subjects.html'"></div>
</div>
<script>
function studentController($scope) {
  $scope.student = {
   firstName: "Mahesh",
   lastName: "Parashar",
   fees:500,
   subjects:[
     {name:'Physics',marks:70},
     {name:'Chemistry',marks:80},
     {name:'Math',marks:65},
     {name:'English',marks:75},
     {name:'Hindi',marks:67}
   ],
   fullName: function() {
     var studentObject;
     studentObject = $scope.student;
     return studentObject.firstName + " " + studentObject.lastName;
   }
  };
}
</script>
<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/angularjs/1.2.15/angular.min.js"></script>
</body>
</html>

Copy after login

  <tr><td>Enter last name: </td><td><input type="text" ng-model="student.lastName"></td></tr>
  <tr><td>Name: </td><td>{{student.fullName()}}</td></tr>
