How to use the 48MP iPhone 14 Pro camera

Note: 48MP image size range is 75-100MB

  1. If not already open , Please enable Apple ProRAW
  2. Open the Settings app on your iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max
  3. Swipe down and tap Press Camera
  4. NowSelectFormat at the top
  5. Click the switch next to Apple ProRAW - The default resolution for Apple ProRAW should be 48MP
  6. Now open the camera app, make sure RAW is showing in the upper or lower right corner and is not crossed out - fire! Remember to use 1x focal length, changing it will switch you to 12MP lenses even though they are still RAW
  7. You can also shoot full 48MP images using third party apps like Halide or Camera

You can also choose to leave the ProRAW setting on in the Camera app, rather than resetting it to available but off when you open the default camera – Settings > Camera > Keep Settings > Apple ProRAW.

With Apple ProRAW enabled, you should see 48MP as of iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max Default resolution (this is optional - click to switch back to ProRAW's 12MP).

However, this is only when shooting with 1x focus, if you change to 0.5x, 2x or 3x you will automatically switch to a 12MP image but it will still be in RAW format.

If By clicking the "i" info button after taking a photo, you can confirm that you're shooting in full 48MP 8064 x 6048 resolution. This image for example is 83.9MB.
