Hisense reveals new A85N OLED TV with Dolby Vision IQ

The Hisense A85N 4K OLED TV is about to launch in Europe. The new model has been officially announced in Germany, found on the brand's website in Hungary and at a retailer in the UK. Two sizes of the A85N will be offered, 55-inch and 65-inch.

The A85N is said to have newer OLED technology for stronger contrast, with a 120Hz refresh rate. Hisense claims its software can reduce the pixel burn-in effect to prolong the display's life. Plus, the display offers a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, automatically adjusted thanks to a built-in light sensor. Other features include AI upscaling technology, MEMC, AI sports mode, and compatibility with Dolby Vision IQ HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG. For gamers, there is VRR, ALLM, four HDMI 2.1 ports (one eARC), a 9.5ms input lag and support for AMD Freesync Premium. The TVs run on the Vidaa U7.6 OS, with popular streaming apps and Amazon Alexa voice commands. They also have built-in 60W speakers compatible with Dolby Atmos, and a rotating stand allows you to adjust the TV's angle by up to 25° to suit your set-up.

The 55-inch and 65-inch Hisense A85N 4K OLED TVs will retail for €1,599 and €2,199, respectively, when they launch this September. It also appears that the A85N will be part of a wider cashback campaign in Germany and perhaps other EU countries, starting September 2nd, offering up to €400 for various TVs from the brand. In the UK, the 55-inch model is already available for £1,499. It remains to be seen when these TVs will roll out more widely.
