The Huawei Watch D2 appears to have been medically certified in China. Rumors surrounding this wearable, expected to be a successor to the Watch D which launched in 2021, have been running for some time. Now, Weibo user @UncleKanshan has shared a screenshot from the National Medical Products Administration database linked to this device.
The possible Huawei Watch D2 is listed here as a Huawei blood pressure measuring device with model numbers LCA-B10, LCA-B11 and LCA-B12. The database entry also reveals that this smartwatch has a cuff-style wristband with a built-in airbag, as seen on the Watch D. Plus, the wearable is said to take systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and pulse rate measurements “at a single time or at different time periods set within 24 hours… for reference and analysis by medical staff”.
A watch with these model numbers can also be found in the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) database in Singapore, where the smartwatch is described as a “Sports Activity Tracker”, and listed with features such as Bluetooth connectivity and notification display. It remains unclear when the Huawei Watch D2 wearable will go on sale in China and at what price. As an indication of what the smartwatch might cost should it land in Europe, the older Huawei Watch D currently sells for €339.99.
