MSI has updated its MPG gaming monitor series with a new 49-inch QD-OLED option, which it has showcased alongside the MPG 321CURX. Specifically, it has confirmed initial details about the MPG 491CQPX, shortly after presenting the MPG 341CQPX.
As its name suggests, the MPG 491CQPX is closely related to the MPG 491CQP (curr. $949.99 on Amazon) that MSI released at the start of the year. Please note that while MSI refers to the MPG 491CQPX as featuring a '3rd Gen QD-OLED panel', this is not strictly true. Although the monitor sits within MSI's third-generation OLED monitor series, the MPG 491CQPX actually relies upon a Gen 2 QD-OLED panel, just like theMPG 491CQP.
However, the MPG 491CQPX utilises a faster 240 Hz panel than theMPG 491CQP, which peaks at 165 Hz. Consequently, the former appears to share the same underlying panel technology as the AOC AGON PRO PD49, Philips Evnia 49M2C8900 and Samsung Odyssey OLED G93SC, among others. Please note that the MSI has not revealed pricing or availability yet. Nonetheless, more device specifications can be seen in the graphic below, which all tally with other recent 49-inch, 1440p and 240 Hz QD-OLED gaming monitors.

The above is the detailed content of MPG 491CQPX: MSI reveals new 49-inch ultra-wide QD-OLED gaming monitor with 240 Hz refresh rate. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!
