How to encrypt php files

Zend Guard is a relatively mature PHP source code encryption product currently on the market. We can use Zend Guard to encrypt PHP files.

Recommended: "PHP Tutorial"

How to use Zend Guard for encryption?

1. Open Zend Guard 5.5.0, [File]->[New]->[Zend Guard Project], and create a new project.

2. Click Next to take the next step. The following dialog box will pop up, select the source file or folder to be encrypted.

This step is to select the file to be encrypted, which can be a single file [Add File] or the entire folder [Add Folder], and then [Next].

(Here, I chose to encrypt the entire folder. That is, all files in D:\wamp\www\demo are encrypted.)

3. The next step is to select the PHP version [compare it with the PHP version on your web server]. This is very important. If the version is incorrect, an error will occur. [Finish] to complete the creation of the project.

Note:

For Zend Guard version 5.5.0 encryption software, it can only support up to version 5.3 of PHP. If your PHP version is higher, please go to the Zend Guard official website to download the corresponding higher version encryption software.

(Since my PHP version is PHP 5.3.10, I choose PHP 5.3 here. You can default to other places and just click to complete)

4. In the Guard Explorer on the left side of Zend Guard, you can see your new project. After selecting the project name with the mouse, right-click [Encode Project] to complete.

In this way, the simplest encryption of PHP source code is achieved.

We can see the encrypted files in the product output directory (D:\productDir).

                                                                                                                                                                                                  to be encrypted.

This is the simplest encryption method. We have not set the validity period of encryption, nor have we set license support (that is, whether a license file is required when decrypting). The default is to never expire and no decryption license is required. document.

If you want to set the license file for decryption, you can click the project name (project_test), and then click the Security tab next to Overview in the main project window to make more secure encryption settings.
