According to W3C expert Connelly, the new features of the HTML5.0 standard are mainly related to network applications and Internet video content. As video and web applications become more popular, Connelly said it's time to standardize.
Other HTML5 features include allowing users to interactively modify web page files.
Mozilla, the developer of the Firefox browser, said that Firefox has begun to support HTML5.0.
Analysts said that in the web browser market, Microsoft IE dominates, and the promotion speed of the HTML5 standard basically depends on Microsoft's attitude towards this standard. Microsoft said not long ago that IE browser will adopt more standardized technology. The industry has generally accused Microsoft of IE being self-isolated and failing to adopt standardized technology, thus destroying Internet standards.
