Samsung Electro-Mechanics displayed two different models of multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) products at the exhibition. One is size 0603 (0.6 mm wide, 0.3 mm high), which supports a 100 nanofarad (nF) capacity. The other is a product with size 1608 (1.6 mm wide, 0.8 mm high), which supports a capacity of 4.7 microfarads (uF). Both products can be applied to the core equipment of autonomous driving, namely the gateway module. The automotive gateway is a core system used to integrate and manage advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) functions in the car and securely transmit data. Automotive gateways have extremely high requirements for the performance and stability of MLCCs.
