Starting from iOS / iPadOS 16.4 Developer Preview Beta 1, the system will only provide the Developer Preview test option to users registered in the Apple Developer Program. Users who have not registered for the program will only be able to choose Install the public beta system.
Starting with iOS and iPadOS 16.4 beta, Apple Developer Program members will see a new option to enable developer previews directly from Software Update in Settings. This new option will be automatically enabled on devices that are registered with the program and updated to the latest beta version.
IT House’s iPhone or iPad must be logged in with the same Apple ID used when registering for the Apple Developer Program to see this option in the settings.
In future versions of iOS and iPadOS, this new setting will be the way to enable developer previews and configuration profiles will no longer grant access.
You only need to download and install [Description File] to detect the public beta upgrade in the system update. See below for the description file download method.
It should be noted that due to cache issues with node server configurations in various Apple regions, there may be a slight delay in detecting upgrade updates in some places, usually within half an hour, not too long.
Developers registered for the program can access the latest releases by visiting the Apple Developer Center or updating their Macs with beta software. For public users, the beta will be available through the Apple Beta Software Program shortly after the developer version is released.
