'REPO has changed forever': Semiwork finally releases its first major update and celebrates with the co-op horror game's best discount yet
Spooky co-op title REPO has just received its first major content drop, introducing the highly anticipated Museum of Human Art level and a host of new features that fans can now dive into.
Developer Semiwork has been consistently updating players on the progress of this update, teasing a brand-new weapon, unique difficulty modifiers based on Moon Phases, and of course, the long-promised Museum of Human Art.
Now that the new content has launched out of beta, Semiwork released a dramatic video titled "REPO has changed forever!", once again fronted by marketer Pontus Sundström, showcasing the update’s standout additions in motion.
In addition to the eerie new Museum level and the Moon Phases system—which shifts every five levels to ramp up the challenge—REPO now supports server lists and random matchmaking, includes a mute toggle, and allows lobby passwords for more private sessions. The update also brings a slew of fresh weapons with delightfully bizarre names such as the Prodzap, the Boltzap, and the Duck Bucket. Launching alongside the update, REPO is currently enjoying a 20% discount during the Steam Summer Sale—matching its lowest price to date. Sundström dubs it "the perfect time to jump in."
Staying true to Semiwork’s quirky tone, the announcement video wraps up with Sundström announcing the team is taking a well-earned break after pulling "long nights and weekends" to ship the update. Just as the lights go out, a semibot appears, demanding to know when the next update drops. In response, Sundström lets off a party horn in exhausted triumph.
