How to get Nightflower Pollen in Monster Hunter Wilds

Nightflower Pollen is a very useful material to collect in Monster Hunter Wilds, as you can use it to trade with Sekka in the Wyveria region to get useful items like a Gold Melding Ticket and Armor Spheres.

It's a tricky material to hunt down, however, as Nightflower Pollen is only harvestable from Ephemeral Blossoms during a very narrow window when a Full Moon is visible in Monster Hunter Wilds.

To help you find and farm this useful material, we've detailed exactly how to get Nightflower Pollen in Monster Hunter Wilds below, Nightflower Pollen locations, and how to farm Nightflower Pollen more efficiently.

How to get Nightflower Pollen in Monster Hunter Wilds

You need to harvest Ephemeral Blossoms during a Full Moon phase at Nighttime in either the Windward Plains or Scarlet Forest regions during the season of Fallow or Plenty to get Nightflower Pollen in Monster Hunter Wilds. (Jump to our Nightflower Pollen locations section for more information on this.)

You can change the phase of the moon, time, and Season, by resting at a Base Camp or a Pop-Up Camp when you're in High Rank. You can also just wait passively for the days to go by in-game if you're still on Low Rank, but each day lasts a full hour, so this can take quite a while!

For the best chance of getting Ephemeral Blossoms to bloom, and to have the most time farming them, we recommend you change the phase of the moon until it's at the Waxing Gibbous phase (the phase before a Full Moon) and set it to Evening time. Then, wait for the moon phase change to happen in real-time, as the game turns to Nighttime.

Do this while standing beside an Ephemeral Blossom to quickly harvest it, then travel to other Ephemeral Blossom locations and harvest them as quickly as you can, before Nighttime ends.

Moon Phases

There are seven phases of the moon in Monster Hunter Wilds, as (unlike in real life) the game doesn't include the New Moon phase - it jumps straight to Waxing Crescent after Wanning Crescent.

Here's the moon cycle in Monster Hunter Wilds:

1. Waning Gibbous
2. Last Quarter
3. Wanning Crescent
4. Waxing Crescent
5. First Quarter
6. Waxing Gibbous
7. Full Moon

In-game, you have to check the sky to see what phase the moon is in. This is easiest to do during the season of Plenty, as the skies are clearer.

Apart from checking the skies, you'll know you're in the Full Moon phase when you can see 'Ephemeral Blossoms' on from the 'Filter Icons' part of your map.

Nightflower Pollen locations in Monster Hunter Wilds

We've found three Nightflower Pollen locations in Monster Hunter Wilds:

Nightflower Pollen location 1

The first is near the exit to the Riverside Trail at area 10 of the Plains region, just east of the river.

Nightflower Pollen location 2

The second Ephemeral Blossom containing Nightflower Pollen is also in the Plains region, at area 3.

This one's a little trickier to reach, unless you've already set up the Area 3: South Pop-Up Camp. If you haven't set up this camp, we recommend setting a waypoint to the Fulgurite Crystal marker just northeast of the Area 3: South camp, then get your Seikret to travel automatically to it until you reach the upper cliffside and your Seikret stops.

Then, manually control your Sekreit (this is down in the d-pad on PS5), and then press the prompt to jump down the cliffs on your Seikret (circle on PS5), and while you're jumping, glide over to the Fulgurite Crystal marker on your screen (hold down R2 to glide on PS5).

The Ephemeral Blossom is near this Fulgurite Crystal location, and the Pop-Up Camp is just down and southwest of the Ephemeral Blossom. We recommend setting up this Pop-Up Camp for easier access to the Ephemeral Blossom in the future.

Nightflower Pollen location 3

The last Nightflower Pollen location that we've found is between areas 14 and 17 in the Forest region. It's growing in the southeastern corner of area 17, on top of the cliff that leads down into area 14.

Remember, the Ephemeral Blossom that you get Nightflower Pollen from won't bloom unless you're in the season of Fallow or Plenty at Nighttime, while a Full Moon is happening.

How to farm Nightflower Pollen in Monster Hunter Wilds

You used to be able to start the 'A Leviathan's Temper' Optional Quest to easily farm Nightflower Pollen, but this exploit was seemingly fixed in the patch released on 10th March, 2025.

With the exploit gone, the next best way to farm Nightflower Pollen is to set up Pop-up Camps near the Ephemeral Blossom locations detailed in the section above, and rest until the Evening when the moon phase is at the one before a Full Moon (Waxing Gibbous). Then, you can collect Nightflower Pollen from the nearby Ephemeral Blossoms when it turns to Nighttime, and the moon changes to a Full Moon.

Go to all of the Ephemeral Blossom locations to harvest Nightflower Pollen, then rinse-and-repeat this method until you have all the Nightflower Pollen you want.

We've not been able to replicate this ourselves, but it is worth noting that as an alternative (if you can change moon phases in enough time), that you might be able to force Ephemeral Blossoms to bloom by going on the 'Sand Sea Surges' Optional Quest to hunt the Balahara in the Plains. But remember, you need to ensure that the moon phase is correct if trying this. That is: Waxing Gibbous changing to the Full Moon, from Evening to Nighttime.
