In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, uncover the "Hammer And Tongs" side quest, triggered by chatting with a specific blacksmith in Grund. This quest isn't always immediately apparent on your map.

This blacksmithing competition offers a potential reward of several hundred Groschen and a decent sword. Here's how to easily complete it:

Starting the Quest:

Speak to Blacksmith Zdminir in Grund (Kuttenberg Region). Grund lies east of the Devil's Den; follow the road, turn left onto a wooden platform, then slightly right, and you'll find him. He'll provide materials for the competition sword. Note: Completing "Speak of the Devil" is a prerequisite. We also encountered issues initiating this quest after "Oratores," so time your approach accordingly.

Completing the Quest:

Use the anvil, selecting the competition sword. Heat the workpiece until orange (avoid burning it). Hammer evenly, rotating to work both sides. Repeat until finished. A craftsmanship level of 8 yielded a level 3 sword.

A level 3 sword is sufficient to beat Matthias. Show Zdminir your finished work. Success earns you 200 Groschen. Matthias may challenge you to a fight for his sword; you can choose to fight, pass a skill check, or decline.

Rewards:

Victory yields 200 Groschen. Defeating Matthias (relatively easy) earns you his sword (main stat 62), sellable for about 8.1 Groschen.
