Crypto Trader Altcoin Sherpa Names Solana (SOL) and 3 Altcoins as His Best Picks for Longer-Term Holds

Pseudonymous crypto analyst Altcoin Sherpa has revealed his top picks for longer-term holds, with Solana (SOL) making the cut.

The analyst, who boasts over 223,000 followers on social media platform X, shared his picks with his followers on Friday (March 10).

According to Altcoin Sherpa, SOL is likely to continue trending upwards as long as it can maintain $110 as support. In addition to SOL, the analyst also listed several other picks for “longer-term buys.” These include Rollbit’s native token (RLB), layer-1 protocol Saga (SAGA) and Bittensor (TAO).

“Longer-term buys: RLB (shilled a lot plus ‘real value’ plus NFL). SAGA chart looks good. TAO at $200 (AI). SOL from $130-$110 still good in my opinion.”

Zooming in on SAGA, the analyst noted that the token appears to be trading within a range following a bottom formation.

“SAGA I think this thing looks pretty good for a DCA (dollar cost averaging)/spot position. Looks to have found a bottom and consolidating over three months and ranging despite BTC being iffy.”

At the time of writing, Solana is trading for $133, up over 3% in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, RLB is trading for $0.094, up 9.34% in the last 24 hours, SAGA is trading at $1.53, up 13.23% in the last 24 hours and TAO is trading for $276, up 10.71% in the last 24 hours.

The analyst also shared his picks for “swing trades,” which include Helium (HNT), a Solana-based asset that connects wireless devices to its network via hotspots, lending platform Aave (AAVE) and Solana competitor Sui (SUI).

Taking a closer look at HNT, the analyst suggests that the asset could be set to retest lower levels following a recent breakout.

“HNT finally got into this one. It's being twapped or bought up by someone and it's got a bizarre chart. I've been tweeting about this one for weeks at this point and traded it well before and bought on the recent move down. Holding for a bit with other orders lower.”

At the time of writing, HNT is trading at $7.61, down 7.3% in the last 24 hours.
