Philips Hue releases new app update with improvements for Secure cameras

A new version of the Philips Hue app has arrived. Version 5.25.0 or 5.25.1 is available for iOS and Android and brings improvements for users of smart home cameras like the Philips Hue Secure Wired Camera.

The updated app now offers a single push notification for each video clip. Historically, users could receive multiple alerts for the same video clip because multiple objects were detected. On top of the single notification improvement, Philips Hue ensures that the message reflects the “most notable” object detected by your security camera. The version 5.25 updates follow a significant release for Philips Hue Secure cameras, update 1.2.21, which arrived at the end of August. Included in this software release were improved package detection and video clip response times, as well as fixes for issues like events triggered by motion outside your Activity zone and missed detections.
