They also noted that the battery can't be replaced without destroying the wearable.

That made iFixit note that the Samsung Galaxy Ring wasn't "designed to last more than two years." This statement makes sense because phone batteries can hold their optimal capacity for about two years, and it's not any different for the batteries inside wearables such as smart rings and smartwatches.

After the teardown, iFixit noted that the Galaxy Ring is a simple device, but the team says that the smart ring is nothing but a "disposable tech accessory."
