Insta360 has released a new action camera, its second of the year after the Insta360 X4 (curr. $499.99 on Amazon). As expected, the company has introduced the Go 3S, an upgraded that Go 3 that adds 4K video recording capabilities. Specifically, while Insta360 limited the Go 3 to capturing footage in up to 2.7K/30 FPS, the Go 3S increases this to 4K/30 FPS.
Unfortunately, 60 FPS completely escapes the Insta360 Go 3 series, although Insta360 has added a 1080p/200 FPS slow motion mode. Still, the Insta360 Go 3S can capture videos with a 120 Mbps bitrate, up from 80 Mbps in the Insta360 Go 3. Additionally, the InstaGo 3S boasts a 16 mm equivalent focal length and an f/2.8 aperture, as well as features like gesture controls and what Insta360 describes as 'MegaView FOV'.
Moreover, the company has added Interval Video, a mode that it claims provides fully automatic hands-free shooting by setting the duration and interval of each clip beforehand. Furthermore, the Go 3S is 10 ATM water resistant and compatible with accessories like Insta360's Pivot Stand, Magnet Pendant and Easy Clip.
