js makes a form element inaccessible: document.getElementById("text_id").disabled="true";

If you want to cancel, use: document.getElementById("text_id").disabled="false"; will not work.

The correct way to write it is: document.getElementById("text_id").disabled=false; remove the quotes

Or: document.getElementById("text_id").disabled=""; Just set it to empty.
