Buy a Netgear router and flash Merlin firmware, and basically everything you mentioned can be done. I have put them on at work and at home.
My 7260 has already fucked Sasunoo’s phoenix http://tomato.org.cn/
My wndr3800 is installed with Mingyue Yongzai’s openwrt. It has all the functions. As for UI... I can change the theme myself
I think it’s good to use openwrt on the entire Raspberry Pi. It also has gpio, which can connect many small things. I haven’t tried it yet
openwrt is not very good, you can play with it in various ways
