2. Compile and install

[xuexiaoxu@192 sockets]$ ./configure --with-php-config=/home/xuexiaoxu/software/php/bin/php-config

[xuexiaoxu@192 sockets]$ make install

After executing make install, the screen will prompt the path where sockets.so is stored, and then copy it to the extensions directory of php. For example, my path is

/home/xuexiaoxu/software/php5.4.8/lib/php/extensions

3. Modify the php.ini file

Find extension_dir = "./" This line, change it to:

 extension_dir = "/home/xuexiaoxu/software/php5.4.8/lib/php/extensions/"

Then add a new line:

 extension=sockets.so

4. Restart apache and it will take effect.
