Understanding Currency and XP in Space Marine 2

XP

XP is simply used to upgrade the particular class of Space Marine you’re playing. As you gain XP, more perks will become unlocked and playable. Each class has its own individual XP leveling system.

XP is also used for individual weapons. As you use a weapon, it gains XP, unlocking more perks like the Marine classes do.

Requisitions

These can be earned from completing Operations. The harder the difficulty, the more you will earn. They are used to pay for almost everything when upgrading and unlocking. They are used to purchasing new classes’ weapon perks and new armor pieces.

Armoury Data

This is used to unlock the various stages of the weapons upgrades in Space Marine 2. They come in three levels starting at Master Crafted, then to Artificer, and finally, Relic. They are each tied to how difficult the operations completed are.

These are collected inside the missions from various locations around the map.

Mastery Points

Mastery points are needed to upgrade each individual weapon. These can be earned by simply using the weapons in battles, whether in PvP or Operations. Hitting XP goals for a weapon will allow you to spend a Mastery Point and unlock the next stage of the perk tree.

Upgrading weapons

When running through Operations in Space Marine 2, you will notice that depending on difficulty, you will be rewarded with levels of Armory Data. The higher the difficulty, the higher the level of the Armory Data.

These pieces of Armory Data can be awarded upon completion of an operation and will provide an upgrade for a specific weapon. These come in three classes: Master Crafted, Artificer, and Relic. The higher the difficulty, the higher the class of Armory Data you will unlock to upgrade your weapons in Space Marine 2. They are picked up from various locations around the map.

Further upgrades to weapons can be earned by using the particular weapons in Operations and PvP. By amassing kills and completing missions, each weapon will upgrade, allowing the perk tree to be climbed, gradually improving the weapon to its final form.

Perks can be unlocked with Mastery Points, which are earned through the use of the weapon. For every level, one point can be spent to climb the weapons tree.

Upgrading perks

The perk tree of each class is unlocked by using the particular class in Operations and PvP. You will have to progress through the perk tree by gaining XP by completing both Operations and PvP. The harder the Operation, the more XP you will earn, unlocking the perk tree for each class faster.

Once a Perk has been unlocked, it must be purchased with Acquisitions in the Perk Tree. You’ll need a ton of these to unlock all weapon and class perks in Space Marine 2, so get grinding.

Unlocking armor

Armor is locked behind a lot of various missions and achievements. The Armor tree is massive and encourages you to pick from the many varied chapters of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Pick and choose your armor from the massive library.

Leveling up fast and getting a ton of the Acquisitions in Space Marine 2 isn’t going to be a walk in the park. The Operations are hard, and without a decent loadout and a solid team, you’re going to struggle. The Operations are easy to fail, and it’s important to finish them to get the most XP and the various currencies.

Know your worth

Don’t go wading into the harder missions without being adept in the fight. If you don’t complete the mission, you’ll end up with a whole load less XP and the possibility of earning no Acquisitions or Armoury Data at all. Stick to missions you know you can have a chance of completing or face failure.

Build you team

If you have a few friends who are at a higher level than you and can walk you through the harder levels, use them. Harder operations reward significantly more XP, Acquisitions, and Armoury Data. Use your friends to carry you through the battle and level up fast in Space Marine 2.

Focus one class

By focusing a lot of time and effort into one class, you’ll not only level it up quickly in Space Marine 2 but also be able to run it through harder missions. The currency earned by these harder missions can be put towards other Space Marines, essentially carrying them with your success. Of course, you’ll still have to earn their XP, too, but it will be easier with a pocket full of Arourty Data and Acquisitions.
