Microsoft recently finally announced Windows Subsystem for Linux as "v1.0", and today they reflected this by removing the long-standing "Preview" label in the Microsoft Store. WSL in the Microsoft Store is now considered General Availability (GA) with the latest software updates on Windows 10/11.
The latest WSL update fixes "more than 100 bugs" as well as opt-in systemd support, various command improvements, and various other improvements.
For more details on Windows Subsystem for Linux finally reaching GA status, visit the Microsoft Dev Blog. Looks like I'll be adding this to my TODO list to start some new WSL benchmarks on Windows 11.
