为什么在 Go 中创建同级模块时会出现错误?

In the Go language, errors when creating sibling modules are a common problem. The cause of this problem is usually due to a namespace conflict in the module. When we create two modules with the same name in the same directory, the Go compiler will consider this to be a conflict, causing an error. The solution to this problem is to place these modules in different directories to avoid namespace conflicts. In addition, we can also use package aliases to resolve module conflicts. By giving one of the modules an alias, you can avoid namespace conflicts and successfully create sibling modules. In actual development, we need to pay attention to the standardization of module naming and avoid modules with the same name to avoid this error.

Question content

This is my file system:

Go/
  HelloWorld/
    go.mod
    go.sum
    hello.go
  GoQuote/
    go.mod
Copy after login

I installed the module and this is my HelloWorld/go.mod:

module example/hello

go 1.21.3

require (
    golang.org/x/text v0.0.0-20170915032832-14c0d48ead0c // indirect
    rsc.io/quote/v4 v4.0.1
    rsc.io/sampler v1.3.0 // indirect
)
Copy after login

and go.sum:

golang.org/x/text v0.0.0-20170915032832-14c0d48ead0c h1:qgOY6WgZOaTkIIMiVjBQcw93ERBE4m30iBm00nkL0i8=
golang.org/x/text v0.0.0-20170915032832-14c0d48ead0c/go.mod h1:NqM8EUOU14njkJ3fqMW+pc6Ldnwhi/IjpwHt7yyuwOQ=
rsc.io/quote/v4 v4.0.1 h1:i/LHLEinr65wwTCqlP4OnMoMWeCgnFIZFvifdXNK+5M=
rsc.io/quote/v4 v4.0.1/go.mod h1:w/DafQky66grMesu3uPhdDMS3knhBippwwemZtMOyCI=
rsc.io/sampler v1.3.0 h1:7uVkIFmeBqHfdjD+gZwtXXI+RODJ2Wc4O7MPEh/QiW4=
rsc.io/sampler v1.3.0/go.mod h1:T1hPZKmBbMNahiBKFy5HrXp6adAjACjK9JXDnKaTXpA=
Copy after login

The error is as follows: Cannot import rsc.io/quote/v4 (package "rsc.io/quote/v4" not found in GOROOT or GOPATH) compilerBrokenImport and undefined: quotecompilerUndeclaredName

No errors occurred until I created the GoQuote directory and ran the go mod init example.com/GoQuote command. I'm new to Go (first hour!) and don't know what the problem is.

I tried saving all files (I'm in VS code) but no success.

Workaround

Looks like the problem is the structure of the file system...if I change it to

Go/
  go.mod
  go.sum
  hello.go
GoQuote/
  go.mod
Copy after login

Then there is no error.
