On Thursday, June 1, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg launched the company’s latest generation virtual reality (VR) headset, Quest 3, ahead of Apple’s WWDC conference, starting at $499.

US Stock Market:

Tesla is clearing inventory in the United States, doubling the discount on some Model 3 models to $2,680, and restoring discounts on some Model Y models, with discounts of nearly $600 each.

No. 2 NVIDIA closed up 5.12%, with a transaction volume of US$24.5 billion. According to a research report, the generative AI market will reach US$1.3 trillion by 2032. The report also said that companies such as Amazon's cloud unit, Google parent company Alphabet, Nvidia, and Microsoft, which has invested billions in OpenAI, may become the biggest winners in the artificial intelligence boom.

The third-place Apple closed up 1.6%, with a turnover of US$11.7 billion. China concept stocks:

Most popular Chinese concept stocks rose on Thursday, with the Nasdaq Golden Dragon Index rising by about 4%. The two-year U.S. Treasury yield fell 6.19 basis points to 4.3408%. It fell to a daily low of 4.3118% when the U.S. ISM data was released, breaking away from the daily high of 4.4588% that it rose to in early European trading. The three-month Treasury bill/10-year U.S. Treasury yield spread fell 0.336 basis points to -177.788 basis points. The 02/10-year U.S. Treasury yield spread rose 2.593 basis points to -73.832 basis points.

European stock markets:

Major European stock indexes collectively closed higher, with Germany's DAX30 index rising by 1.22%, Britain's FTSE 100 index rising by 0.6%, France's CAC40 index rising by 0.55%, and Europe's Stoxx 50 index rising by 0.94%.

Other markets:

On Thursday, the price of gold futures for August delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose $13.40, or 0.7%, to close at $1,995.70 an ounce. During trading on Thursday, the futures rose as high as $2,000.70 an ounce, breaking through the $2,000 mark for the first time since mid-May.

West Texas Intermediate crude oil futures for July delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose $2.01, or 3%, to settle at $70.10 a barrel, the highest level since Friday. WTI crude oil hit its lowest closing price since March 20 on Wednesday.
