How to assign sub-accounts in phpmyadmin

How does phpmyadmin allocate sub-accounts? phpmyadmin adds a normal user management account

phpmyadmin is a mysql graphical management interface. We are here to introduce you to adding mysql users in phpmyadmin. I hope this article can Bring help to all my friends.

Foreword: It is still necessary for phpmyadmin to add a non-root database management account for security. Through phpmyadmin, you can easily perform mysql operations such as adding and deleting users. After adding the non-root account, you can use the added account to log in to phpmyadmin and delete the original root account, which is good for security.

Step 1: Open phpMyAdmin, click the [User] button in the menu bar to enter the user management page.

Step 2: The user management page lists existing user information, click [Add User] to create a new user.

Step 3: Enter the user name [User name]. There are two options: any user and use text field. There is no obvious difference between them. It is recommended to select "use text field" and then enter the user name in the text box, such as sky.

Step 4: Enter the host [Host] information. There are four options here: any host (%), local (localhost), use host table (host), Use text field (that is, use text field).

Any host means matching all hosts; local means only the local host (localhost is filled in by default); using the host means that the data in the host table in the MySQL database shall prevail, and no information needs to be filled in (if filled in, This option is invalid); use a text field to indicate filling in the host address information yourself. Select the "Local" option here.

Step 5: Enter password and Re-type (confirm password). There are two options: no password, use text field. Select "Use text field" here, you can enter the password manually, or click the [Generate] button to automatically generate a password and display it in the bottom text box.

Step 6: Assign permissions to users. Permission management is divided into two parts: user database and global permissions.

The user database includes two options: create a database with the same name as the user and grant all permissions; grant all permissions to the database opened with username_. You can choose according to your needs. Neither is selected here, only new users are created.

Global permissions include four parts: data, structure, management and resource restrictions. You can choose according to your needs. Here I chose "Select All", which selects all the permissions equivalent to root. Of course, you can also uncheck the management option, so that the account only has read and write permissions but does not have the management permissions for the entire mysql.

Step 7: After the permissions are assigned, click the [Execute] button in the lower right corner to create a new user. The old version seems to have to go back to the homepage of phpMyAdmin and reload the authorization. There is an option to Reload privileges, just click on it
