There are two specific explanations for going to IOE

If the resource pool cannot be flexibly allocated between systems, not only will it fail to improve the overall efficiency, but the system efficiency may even be reduced due to excessive consumption when resource calls are made between systems.

Secondly, there is the issue of how application software adapts to the cloudification of hardware. IOE manufacturers have put a lot of effort into software. While providing additional functions, they also pay attention to improving the performance and stability of their products. In the face of the X86 open platform and open source software, many software need to be redeveloped or customized. The increase in application software development also brings uncertainties to the stability of the system. This also means that under the new technical architecture, system software and application software are integrated, and developers have to bear a dual development workload.

Third, it is to establish an operation and maintenance management system that supports cloudification of the system. The introduction of cloud computing technology enables flexible allocation of computing resources, but it may introduce a disaster for system maintenance and management. Traditional division of labor interfaces, workflows, emergency plans, etc. will gradually change as the degree of cloudification of the system increases. Especially for software maintenance, it will face huge and even subversive tests.
