How to fix office2007 icons not displaying properly

This type of problem is caused by damage to related components of the Word program. It can be solved by the following solution:

Press the Windows logo key R key on the keyboard and enter regedit , press the Enter key.

For Word 2007/Word 2010, please find the following three key values. (Then right-click and select "Export" to back up the key values to the desktop. Once a problem occurs, you can restore the registry key values through backup)
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.docx
KEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Word.Document.12
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.docx
Then right-click these three key values and delete them.

If you are using Word 2003, please back up and delete the following three keys Value:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.doc
KEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Word.Document.8
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.doc

Press the Windows logo on the keyboard Press the R key, enter appwiz.cpl, and press Enter.

Right-click Microsoft Office 2007/2010 and select "Change". (The operation is similar for Microsoft Office 2003)

Select "Repair" and click "Continue".

Finally restart the computer to make the changes take effect
