The perennially popular programming language Python may be a fan favorite, but can you make a living as a Python developer? What’s more, as one of the most popular languages in the world, the job market has a lot to do with it. How is the acceptance?

Is there a big market demand for python?

#It turns out that using Python is correct - and recently, it seems that is the case.

Delving deeper into the data in the Dice database, we filtered out the "Python Developer" job positions. We also “cleaned” the data to eliminate other work citing the language by name from this study.

It probably doesn’t surprise you that Python’s job market is very healthy. "Python Developer" is not only one of the most popular job titles in our database, but it is also historically one of the most stable. While many job titles and programming languages like Kotlin are subject to the whims of the industry and the decisions of big tech companies, Python weathers the storm with ease and is apparently unaffected by industry trends.

Over the past three quarters, Python job postings have seen significant growth. As you can see from the table below, the "Python Developer" job title has returned to very stable numbers from the beginning of 2016 (Q1 2016, to be specific). Job openings for Python developers nearly doubled from the third quarter of 2017 to the second quarter of 2018. (Keep in mind that these data are normative, so our findings here are primarily for Python developer roles. If we include all positions that use Python, the actual numbers are much higher.)

Let’s take a look at the salary and employment of domestic Python positions.
