Like HashMap, Hashtable is also a hash table, and the stored content is also a key-value mapping of key-value pairs. ItinheritsDictionary and implements the Map, Cloneable, io, and Serializable interfaces. Hashtable is thread-safe, and the key and value cannot be empty and are not ordered.

Hashtable has two parameters that affect its performance: initial capacity and loading factor. The capacity is the number of buckets in the hash table, the initial capacity is the capacity when the hash table is created, and the load factor is a measure of how full the hash table can be before its capacity automatically increases. The default load factor is 0.75.

Hashtable structure diagram:

##It can be seen from the picture:

(1) Hashtable inherits from the Dictionary class and implements the Map interface.

(2) Hashtable is a hash table implemented by

zipper method (linked list method for conflicts). Including several important members Variables:

table is an Entry[]

array type. Entry is a one-way linked list, and the key-values of the hash table are all Stored in the Entry array.

count is the size of the Hashtable and the number of key-value pairs stored in the Hashtable.

Threshold is the threshold of Hashtable, used to determine whether the capacity of Hashtable needs to be adjusted. The value of threshold = capacity multiplied by the loading factor.

LoadFactor is the loading factor.

modCount is used to implement the fail-fast mechanism.

Hashtable traversal method:

(1) Traverse the key-value pairs of Hashtable: first obtain the key-value pair of Hashtable

set collection , and then iteratively traverse the collection through the iterator.

Integer integ = Iterator iter = table.entrySet().iterator()(iter.hasNext())
{
    Map.Entry entry = (Map.Entry)iter.next()    key = (String)entry.getKey()   integ = (Integer)entry.getValue()}
Copy after login
(2) Traverse the keys of Hashtable: obtain the key set through keySet(), and obtain the value through Iterator iterator traversal.

String key = Integer integ = Iterator iter = table.keySet().iterator()(iter.hasNext()) {
    key = (String)iter.next()    integ = (Integer)table.get(key)}
Copy after login
(3) Traverse the values of Hashtable: Obtain the Hashtable value set through values(), and obtain the value through Iterator iterator traversal

Integer value = Collection c = table.values()Iterator iter= c.iterator()(iter.hasNext())
{
    value = (Integer)iter.next()}
Copy after login
(4) Traverse the keys or values of the Hashtable through Enumeration: first obtain the set of keys or values, and obtain the values through Enumeration traversal.

Enumeration enu = table.keys()(enu.hasMoreElements())
{
    System.out.println(enu.nextElement())}
Enumeration enu = table.elements()(enu.hasMoreElements())
{
    System.out.println(enu.nextElement())}
Copy after login
Hashtable sample code:

public class Hello {

    public static void main(String[] args) {
        testHashtableAPIs();
    }

    private static void testHashtableAPIs() {
        // 初始化随机种子
        Random r = new Random();
        // 新建Hashtable
        Hashtable table = new Hashtable();
        // 添加操作
        table.put("one", r.nextInt(10));
        table.put("two", r.nextInt(10));
        table.put("three", r.nextInt(10));

        // 打印出table
        System.out.println("table:"+table );

        // 通过Iterator遍历key-value
        Iterator iter = table.entrySet().iterator();
        while(iter.hasNext()) {
            Map.Entry entry = (Map.Entry)iter.next();
            System.out.println("next : "+ entry.getKey() +" - "+entry.getValue());
        }

        // Hashtable的键值对个数
        System.out.println("size:"+table.size());

        // containsKey(Object key) :是否包含键key
        System.out.println("contains key two : "+table.containsKey("two"));
        System.out.println("contains key five : "+table.containsKey("five"));

        // containsValue(Object value) :是否包含值value
        System.out.println("contains value 0 : "+table.containsValue(new Integer(0)));

        // remove(Object key) : 删除键key对应的键值对
        table.remove("three");

        System.out.println("table:"+table );

        // clear() : 清空Hashtable
        table.clear();

     // isEmpty() : Hashtable是否为空
        System.out.println((table.isEmpty()?"table is empty":"table is not empty") );
    }

}
Copy after login
Run result:

table:{two=5, one=4, three=2}
next : two - 5
next : one - 4
next : three - 2
size:3
contains key two : true
contains key five : false
contains value 0 : false
table:{two=5, one=4}
table is empty
Copy after login
