You Don't Have to Choose Between iPhone and Android With the New Chipolo Pop Tracker
Chipolo Pop Bluetooth Tracker Review: Taking into account both Apple and Android
Losing your keys or wallet is a headache. Chipolo has been committed to helping users find lost items, and their latest product Pop is designed to meet the needs of both iPhone and Android users. It combines some of the best features of previous trackers to become a multi-functional device.
If you have used Chipolo’s tracker before, you will notice that Pop has a similar colorful look as the previous Chipolo tracker. The key difference, however, is that it can work with both Apple's Find My Devices networks and Google's Find My Devices networks. Previously, you had to make a choice: iPhone users use Chipolo One Spot and Android users use Chipolo One Point. Now, Pop gives you the same sense of peace of mind and adds flexibility to compatible with both platforms (although not available at the same time).
Like its predecessors, the Chipolo Pop has a compact disc-shaped design that is slightly larger than one coin. It comes in a variety of bright colors (unlike One Point, which is available in white only) and includes a built-in keychain. This simple but important feature allows you to attach it to your items without additional accessories. The internal replaceable CR2032 battery provides it with up to one year of battery life, which is a good feature compared to the battery-in-replaceable tracker.

For three years, iPhone users have exclusively enjoyed an affordable, simple tracker—no third-party apps required. Finally, Android users also have an alternative to AirTag - Chipolo One Point. In fact, they have multiple options, such as the new Card Point. The question is, are they easy to use?
7 When it comes to finding lost items, the sound of Pop is unambiguous. It has the same 120dB high volume alert as on the Chipolo One Point, making it easier for you to find lost items in the distance. Bluetooth range has also been improved, now up to 300 feet. Based on my experience with One Point, the previous 200-foot range is usually enough, but the extra range of the Pop may be more beneficial in larger spaces.
In terms of durability, Chipolo Pop gets IP55 rating, which is resistant to dust and light water splashes. This is a bit better than the One Point's IPX5 rating, which means Pop should be able to withstand daily use and mild moisture better. While you may not want to immerse it in water, it should be OK to tie it to your dog collar when walking your dog in the rain.
One of the advantages of Chipolo trackers is always its companion app, and Pop is no exception. While it can be seamlessly integrated with Apple and Google’s native tracking apps, using the Chipolo app can unlock more features. You can customize the alarm sound and if you are an Android user, you will get a handy "reminder on leaving" notification. The app also allows you to use Pop as a remote camera shutter, and (a particularly useful feature I highlighted in the One Point review) allows you to ring your phone by double-tap the tracker, even if the phone is silent.
While the Chipolo Pop sounds great on paper and the $29 price is also great, your experience will vary greatly depending on the platform you choose. Apple's "Find" network is huge and very reliable, while Google's "Find My Device" network is still very young and doesn't help much. Hopefully, with the increase in products like Chipolo Pop, this situation will change.

Charging your device is one of the constant worries in life. We all had arguing over the charging cable, proudly claiming that we only have 3% of the battery left, while the other party still has 5%, so we need this cable even more. What's worse is that different devices require different charging cables. By chance, I discovered a little trick to make charging much easier. My device still needs different charging cables Despite the efforts made by the EU that forced Apple to finally abandon the Lightning interface and use USB-C in the same way as other manufacturers, we still live in a world where multiple charging cables are needed to power different devices. I can charge a lot of devices with a USB-C cable, such as iPhone, Switch, and PS5 controllers.
