Samsung Shares a More Detailed Android 15 Rollout Schedule
Samsung's highly anticipated Android 15 update, bringing One UI 7 to numerous devices, is finally getting a rollout schedule. After initially hinting at an April launch, a Czech Republic Samsung Newsroom post provides a more detailed timeline, offering a reliable roadmap for the global release.
The rollout begins in select regions on April 7th, starting with the Galaxy S24 series (S24, S24 , S24 Ultra). The Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 follow on April 10th, with the S24 FE, Z Fold 5, and Z Flip 5 receiving the update around April 14th. The Galaxy S23 series (S23, S23 , S23 Ultra) is also slated for April 14th or shortly thereafter.
The Galaxy Tab S10 series will receive the update after April 14th, followed by the Tab S9 series a week later. Even the Galaxy Tab S8 is expected to get Android 15 before the end of April.
While the detailed timeline focuses on newer flagship and foldable devices, older models like the Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy A series are expected to receive the update later, possibly in May. The US rollout is expected to commence on April 10th, though carrier delays are anticipated. Unlocked phones may also experience further delays.
This year's Android 15 release from Samsung is significantly delayed compared to previous years. While the latest devices will receive the update in April, owners of older models will need to exercise patience. The delay underscores the challenges of timely software updates for a wide range of devices.
