Starting the Quest

Begin in Thirdborn's eastern residential district. A young Aumaua, distinguishable by his hat, will approach you. (If Kai is in your party, he'll identify him as Chiko.) Chiko will explain Keipo's reluctance to leave his home and ask for your help. Find Keipo at his window in the nearby house.

Keipo, nearing the end of his life, requests the Heart of the Leviathan, a relic he hid in nearby ruins. He's cleverly booby-trapped the location to protect his prized possession.

Navigating the Trapped Ruins

The ruins lie to the east, guarded by undead. Stealth is an option; you can bypass most enemies. Enter the small structure, unlock the barred door, and proceed into the ruins.

You'll encounter various traps:

• The Initial Lever: Resist the urge to pull the initial lever; it triggers a minor damage trap. Instead, activate the elevator lever nearby.
• The Rolling Pins: After charging a device below, jump back up to avoid enemies and navigate three rolling pin traps.
• Bladed Traps: The next room contains bladed traps and a purple chest. Disarming the booby-trapped wires is more crucial than avoiding the blades. Loot the Exceptional Bow and materials from chests.
• The Skeleton-Filled Room: Climb the ladder to bypass most of the skeletons in this large room. Avoid the fire traps behind the locked door to the left.
• The Elder Grizzly Bear: The final challenge is the Elder Grizzly Bear. It usually sleeps in its cave, allowing for easy passage. A treasure chest awaits those brave enough to fight it. Turning a wheel near the barred door opens a path, making avoiding the bear easier.
