Finding Ignatius the Ram in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be tricky. The game doesn't provide his exact location, making a simple search inefficient. This guide shows you how to locate and guide him uphill without frustration.

KCD2 How to Find and Lead Ingatius

Ignatius's Location:

Ignatius is near the shepherd's hut, either inside or just outside the sheep pen. He's identifiable by his name, "Ignatius," appearing at the bottom right of your screen when you approach (unlike other sheep). To ensure he follows, interact with him while holding the carrot the shepherd provided. Don't use or eat the carrot beforehand; he won't move without it.

Guiding Ignatius Uphill:

Simply running uphill won't work. Ignatius will become disoriented and stop following. Use this strategy:

  1. Walk 10-20 yards, stop, and turn around.
  2. Wait for Ignatius to catch up, then proceed.
  3. Repeat until you reach the Y-shaped tree at the hilltop.
  4. If he stops, return to him; he should resume following.

At the tree, drop the carrot from your inventory. Ignatius will eat it, prompting you to hide in nearby bushes.

The Aftermath:

Wolves will attack. You can choose to fight them to protect Ignatius or let him face them. The shepherd will be unhappy if Ignatius dies, but the quest isn't failed. Importantly, Mutt isn't involved in this wolf pack, potentially rendering Ignatius's sacrifice meaningless.

With this guide, you'll efficiently find and guide Ignatius, avoiding a countryside-wide sheep chase. His survival, however, rests in your hands.
