You can find one such secret area in Claviger Edmund's Estate, which is an area that you visit during the main story of Dawnshore. To access this area, you'll need Claviger's Estate Key, which isn't difficult to find but also easy to miss.

Claviger's Estate Key Location

Once you enter Claviger Edmund's Estate, you'll see a group of stairs leading to the top right side with another leading you outside through a different door on the left. If you want to get Claviger's Estate Key, you have to take the stairs on the left and exit through the door above.

Once you're past the door, you'll see a ladder leading up. After going up from it, follow along the side of the building and turn left to see another door in front. Go to the edge of the platform you're on and you can then jump on the balcony with this door, and the key will be hanging on the wall to your left.
