In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, crafting potent poisons and potions requires various herbs and plants, including the elusive Comfrey. While in-game descriptions suggest finding it near water sources, locating Comfrey proves more challenging than expected. This guide provides specific locations and alternative methods to acquire this crucial ingredient.
The game's crafting information directs players to search near bodies of water. While this is technically correct, Comfrey's distribution is sparse. Targeted searching or purchasing are more efficient strategies.
Harvesting Comfrey
While Comfrey grows along water banks and streams, simply searching randomly is unproductive. A reliable location is the northern edge of the large lake west of the Trosky region. The lake's longer edges surprisingly lack Comfrey; focus your search on the far side, as illustrated in the map screenshot above. Other water sources may yield Comfrey, but this location offers a higher success rate.
Purchasing Comfrey
Alternatively, purchase Comfrey from any in-game herbalist. In the Trosky region, Herbalist Barnaby is a convenient option. Further into the game, the herbalist in Kuttenberg's central market provides another source.
Barnaby's hut lies northwest of Trosky Castle. Follow the forest path to find it. He sells Comfrey for 0.5 Groschen each.
Important Note: Comfrey spoils quickly. Avoid over-harvesting or purchasing excessive amounts to prevent spoilage and waste.
