Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl has a metric ton of missions for you to complete, many of which branch of specific decisions you've made in previous encounters, making subsequent playthroughs worth seeking out if you want to see everything its bleak and daunting world has to offer.
Whether you just want to scavenge rare Artifacts to become stronger or want to help out everyone you come across, there is no shortage of things you can and should be doing that will benefit your playstyle and ambitions as a Stalker in the wastelands even if that entails you joining the Ward.
Before you can begin All That is Left in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, you must first meet a few prerequisites. Primarily, you must give the Ward Sensors to Captain Zotov during the Needle in a Haystack mission, essentially teaming up with the Ward, following their route for the story.
After doing this, you must also complete the Behind Seven Seals mission and reach Garbage, allowing you to cross the Pontoon Bridge, leading you directly to Mateus, who will give you this mission after confirming you're supposed to be there as part of the main quest.
With all those requirements met you can speak with Lieutenant Mateus and ask him about the job he brought up when you first spoke with him, having him talk about an important Artifact he wants you to grab for him. Agree to snag it for him to begin All That is Left, making your next step to head to the Chemical Plant nearby.
Now that you've accepted the mission from Mateus and agreed to get him the Artifact, follow the blue waypoint on your compass toward the nearby Chemical Plant. It's not far away from where Mateus was at all, so it will only take a handful of minutes.
As you approach the Chemical Plant and begin to pass through the walkway that leads to it, you will be ambushed by a pack of Pseudodog Mutants. These Mutants can be frustrating to deal with, as they won't quit spawning until you eliminate the pack's leader, which takes many bullets to take down.
Back up to the entrance of the walkway and aim at the door in front of you, forcing the Pseudodog and its minions to run through the room toward you. As soon as you see the leader, unload into it, hopefully killing it before it runs off. Killing the leader will cause all the others to drop dead, too, so we strongly recommend focusing on it first.
From here, pass through the walkway to find a large Chemical Plant on the other side. The Artifact you're looking for will be sitting on the top of a catwalk to the left, seemingly impossible to reach as all the stairs leading to it are destroyed.
Once you're inside the Chemical Plant, walk onto the metal walkway on the ground in front of you, then follow it to the left until you pass underneath a set of stairs. Since they're broken, you won't be able to climb them, but you will be able to jump onto the railing directly to the left of the stairs near the large cement cylinders.
Jump onto the railing and then turn around to face the cement cylinders. You should be extremely close to them, allowing you to leap from the railing onto the cement. From here, follow the cement cylinders all the way around to the left until you reach the catwalk. There will be a piece of the railing bent open, allowing you to enter.
Turn left and follow the catwalk to the end to find the Soul Artifact. Pick it up to instantly be contacted by Professor Zaretyski, who will ask you to meet up with her to discuss that Artifact as she was also searching for it. Her crew will also storm the area and will begin shooting at you, alerting a nearby Mutant.
Picking up the Soul Artifact at the Chemical Plant will have Professor Zaretyski contact you, asking you to meet her near the entrance of the Chemical Plant to speak with her about the Artifact, as she wants it. However, her crew will also rush into the region, firing at you and awakening a nearby Mutant.
Unfortunately for us, Professor Zaretyski died before we could reach her, and no matter how many times we reloaded the save, that was always the result, so we're unsure of what she offers for the Soul Artifact at this moment. Even restarting it from the beginning yielded the same results, so we don't know how to keep her from dying, as she keeps walking into a pit of poison and dying before we can reach her.
If we can ever prevent her from leaping into poisonous chemicals, we will update this guide to include what she offers in exchange for the Soul Artifact. We're assuming it's something good, but we cannot know for sure as it seems she has a weird gravitational pull toward deadly things.
We also don't know if her crew shooting at us was also a bug, as that also doesn't quite make sense if she wants to talk to us. This could have been severely bugged on our end, but we will try to get a different result and will update this guide with the alternative route as soon as we can!
Return to Lieutenant Mateus with the Soul Artifact and give it to him to complete the All That is Left mission in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. He will express how it's the last thing left that belonged to his late friend, allowing him to rest easy now it's in his possession.
Mateus will offer you his thanks and will send you off with a massive 3,500 Credits payout—a substantial reward for your time and effort. From here, you can continue on with the critical path of the main story, carving your way through the Garbage Zone!
You can also keep the Soul Artifact and never return it to Mateus or the Scientist. It substantially increases your Endurance but negatively impacts your Radiation Levels. We wouldn't recommend doing this, but it is another possible route if you want to pocket it for yourself.
