March 7th has been available in Honkai: Star Rail from the beginning, joining your party during the tutorial. During the second Xianzhou Luofu storyline following your visit to Penacony, she can gain another Path and element, becoming Imaginary March 7th as part of the Saga of Primaveral Blade event. This new incarnation of the character can elevate almost any team she's a part of.
Character Role
Imaginary March 7th
Feixiao
Aventurine
Robin
This team composition sees Imaginary March 7th replace Topaz as the follow-up attack enabler, and she does a commendable job standing in for a limited 5-star character. One of the major benefits of using this team is how automatic everything is, even with auto-battle turned off. The basic flow of combat goes something like this:
The choice of whether to use Feixiao's Ultimate immediately at six stacks or wait to build a few more will depend on the situation, as will choosing between Aventurine's Skill or Basic. Imaginary March 7th should focus on Basic attacks only once she uses her Skill on Feixiao, as the Skill's effects don't swap targets until you prompt them to.
Give March 7th enough Energy Regeneration so that she can use her Ultimate before she reaches seven stacks, or once every two cycles. Doing so ensures she always uses the full power of her enhanced Basic. It's not the end of the world if she misses once or twice, but your overall damage output will suffer.
If you have Lingsha but not Aventurine, she works as a suitable substitute. Her increased Break efficiency works well with Feixiao's damage bonuses against Weakness Broken targets, and adds Fire damage to the team, as well.

Huo Huo |

Robin |

In this team composition, you'll rely on Yunli's counter-attack abilities and Huo Huo's Ultimate, which grants Energy to the rest of the team, to keep Yunli in her Ultimate counter-state as often as possible. March 7th will provide the same bonuses as in any other similar composition: damage bonuses and supplementary damage of her own.
The rotation can look something like this:
Use Huo Huo's Ultimate as an interrupt to give Yunli her own Ultimate, either as an emergency or to optimize your damage.
You'll ideally have Yunli's counter state active permanently, and you should use this composition primarily against Physical-weak enemies, as both Yunli and Robin can provide Physical damage, as will March while she's buffing Yunli. The young swordmaster's damage is high enough that she fares well against more resilient enemies, especially if she's well-built.

The Honkai: Star Rail roster might not have a huge number of free follow-up attack units, but choosing to use Moze as your main DPS with three other Skill Point-positive teammates allows him to keep the damage coming at a rapid clip.
Imaginary March 7th is here to do as she always does, with Tingyun providing Moze with a steady supply of damage bonuses and Ultimate energy to power his kit. Gallagher is the best 4-star healer in the game, bar none, giving you easy access to a top-tier sustain that rivals some 5-star choices.
The rotation for this team composition can look like this:
You can trade Tingyun for whichever other top-tier Support you have access to, with Bronya or Sparkle being solid choices.
This composition is a more traditional hypercarry setup, with Imaginary March 7th and the rest of the party present to improve Moze's performance. Other March 7th teams are a bit more synergistic, but that doesn't mean you can't be effective with something a bit more focused.
