Dragon Age: The Veilguard - A Hidden Hoard Walkthrough

Quests in Dragon Age: The Veilguard comes in all types and are divided into categories such as story, companion, region, and faction. Each of these quests offers rewards that help you and your companions on your journey. While you might not encounter many quests at first, the further you progress in the storyline, the more quests will become available in regions you've previously visited.

Once you reach the latter half of the game, you will be able to pick up a quest from a board in Dock Town called A Hidden Hoard. After picking up the quest, you'll need to track down a hidden treasure in Minrathous. There are three clues to gather, which will lead you on a treasure hunt to find what they called, a hidden hoard, somewhere in the city.

Go To The Beginning Of The Trail

After you reach the first objective area in Wharf Crossing South, look for a shop just behind the beacon.

The table on the left side will contain a note that you can interact with. This will be your first clue for the quest.

Find The Second Clue

For the second clue, make your way to the Side Alley Bridge. Once there, locate a door with a triangular top and head inside.

Follow the path to the left and climb the first rock. As soon as you do, look to your right and climb further to reach the top. At the top, you’ll find a note near a chest.

Interact with it to progress the quest.

Find The Third Clue

Moving on to the Shoreline Passage, locate the newspaper guy. To his left, you’ll spot another note, which serves as the third and final clue to the quest.

You will receive the Heavy Bronze Key, and the note will instruct you to use it on an ancient door inside the catacombs.

Find The Ancient Door

After reaching the entrance to the catacombs, follow the path to the right side, then take the first left where you’ll spot a wooden structure.

In this area, head to the entrance on the left side, where a chest is located. Follow the path until you get ambushed by some enemies. Defeat them, and the door you need to unlock will be just past them.

Use the Heavy Bronze Key to unlock it, and once inside, investigate the foul smell by reading the three notes there.

Complete The Quest

After interacting with all three notes behind the Heavy Bronze door, the quest will be completed, unlocking a follow-up quest called Desperate in Dock Town.

As rewards, you will receive:

• 300 Gold
• 5 Fade-Touched Crystals
• Increased bonds with your companions
• Increased Shadow Dragon’s Strength
