Hello Devs! ?‍??‍?

I went through the initial understanding and now I need to start "writing" something, I'm going to configure my VSCode so that I can program and debug the generated code.

?Installation/Configuration Process

?Step 01 - Install the Go extension for VSCode
?? Open VSCode and install the Go Extension. To install extensions: "Ctrl Shift X", in the search field type Go and choose the option "Go - Go Team at Google". Just click on "Install"

If something appears to update, select all available tools and select OK.

?Step 03 - Create a Hello
?? The idea is to create a simple example and make sure it works.

I created a folder and inside it a file called "main.go"

package main

import "fmt"

func main() {
    fmt.Println("Hello!")
}
Copy after login

I was able to compile and run the generated file by running via terminal.

go build main.go
Copy after login

After the command, an executable was generated in the folder with the name "main.exe". Okay, my first program was generated.

?Step 04 - Debug my Code
?? Now I want to debug the code through VSCode.

Select the VSCode option to Debug: "Ctrl Shift D", then execute the "Run and Debug" button.

If it doesn't work, open the terminal and run the command

go install -v github.com/go-delve/delve/cmd/dlv@latest
Copy after login

I found another error here

Build Error: go build -o c:\_Dev\Go\Hello\__debug_bin676152768.exe -gcflags all=-N -l .
go: go.mod file not found in current directory or any parent directory; see 'go help modules' (exit status 1)
Copy after login

It seems that after the Go 1.16 version, the default is that when running code, it is expected to have a "go.mod" file in the project.
To do this, simply run the command, where "hello" is the name of the project

go mod init hello
Copy after login

It created a file in the folder with the following content

module hello

go 1.23.2
Copy after login

The 'go.mod' file is for dependency management in Go.

Now just run "Run and Debug" and watch the magic happen... ?
