Magic Eden is on a mission to expand that list to ten by the end of the year and is preparing to add support for layer-1 blockchain Monad once it launches its testnet.
Non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace Magic Eden has announced that it now supports BeraChain and ApeChain blockchains.
With the addition of these two layer-1 protocols, Magic Eden now supports a total of nine blockchains, including Ethereum, Bitcoin Ordinals, Polygon, Solana and Arbitrum.
The NFT platform is aiming to expand this list further and plans to add support for Monad once the layer-1 blockchain launches its testnet.
The announcement comes shortly after ApeChain, the layer-1 blockchain created by Yuga Labs and powered by ApeCoin, launched its mainnet.
According to an announcement on Sunday, ApeChain went live with over 360,000 transactions and 1,204 deployed contracts, which helped push the ApeCoin price to its highest level since April.
However, the token has since fallen to $1.31 at the time of writing, down more than 15% over the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, BeraChain has three main tokens in its ecosystem: BEX, BGT and HONEY. The proof-of-liquidity blockchain also announced that it had secured $100 million in a Series B funding round in April.
According to a Dune Analytics dashboard by Sealaunch, Solana and Bitcoin were the leading blockchains in terms of transaction volume on the Magic Eden platform, with 42.8% and 42%, respectively, in October.
Ethereum came in third with just over 15%, while Polygon had less than 1%. Solana also continued to dominate the number of sales and the number of buyers with over 72% and nearly 68%, respectively.
