AMD slyly reveals Radeon RX 7800M official with 12 GB VRAM

OneXPlayer already revealed AMD's upcoming laptop graphics card, Radeon RX 7800M, via benchmarks and promotional material. Performance-wise, it trounces the GeForce RTX 4070 laptop in OneXPlayer's first-party benchmarks. Now, AMD has officially listed the Radeon RX 7800M on its website and revealed its key specs.

Right off the bat, AMD's newest laptop graphics card comes with a Navi 32 GPU and 12 GB of 18 Gbps VRAM on what is likely a 192-bit bus for a total memory bandwidth of 432 GB/s. It comes with 48 MB of Infinity Cache, 60 Compute Units (CUs), 90 Render Output Units (ROPs), a TDP of up to 180 Watts and a 'game frequency' of 2.145 GHz. It supports most common rendering formats such as H264, H265 and AV1.

On paper, the AMD Radeon RX 7800M could serve as a formidable competitor in the market. However, AMD GPUs are still few and far between with most OEMs opting for Nvidia. Then again, RDNA 4 laptop graphics cards are still several weeks away from launch, so we might actually see the Radeon RX 7800M power a few laptops at least.
