Samsung Galaxy S24 FE set to be more expensive than the Galaxy S23 FE

Details of Samsung's upcoming premium smartphone, the Galaxy S24 FE, have leaked in recent weeks. While the device looks to be an iterative upgrade over last year's model, word on the grapevine claims it will not be priced as such, with a price hike seemingly on the cards.

As shared by Roland Quandt of Winfuture, it appears the Galaxy S24 FE is set to be more expensive than the Galaxy S23 FE (buy on Amazon) it will replace. The typically reliable leaker claims the upcoming smartphone will debut with an MSRP of €799 in Europe—€100 more than the S23 FE's €699 launch price tag.

Supposedly, the S24 FE could be positioned as something of a cheaper Galaxy S24+. Expected specifications of the phone include a 6.7-inch 120 Hz AMOLED screen, 8 GB of RAM as standard, up to 256 GB of storage, a 50 MP main camera, 12 MP ultra-wide angle camera, 8 MP zoom camera, and 10 MP selfie camera. The S24 FE is tipped to ship globally—yes, likely in the US as well—with an Exynos 2400e. That chipset is said to be a slightly downclocked version of the Exynos 2400 on the Galaxy S24 and S24+.
