Retroid has now released the Pocket 5, less than a year after the company started selling the Pocket 4 and Pocket 4 Pro (curr. $249.99 on Amazon). Additionally, Retroid has included an active cooling solution to keep the Pocket 5's chipset cool under high load. Moreover, the Snapdragon 865 provides Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity; however, Retroid has seemingly disabled the chipset's modem. On top of that, the Pocket 5 features 3D Hall effect joysticks, analogue triggers and interchangeable button layouts.
For reference, Retroid has packed all this hardware into a 199.2 x 78.5 x 15.6 mm housing that weighs 280 g.
