Previously announced for PC (and already present on Steam, although without an accurate launch date yet), Toree Saturn is now headed for the Nintendo Switch as well. Yesterday, a new trailer (the second official one) and a new PC demo surfaced online. Sadly, this version doesn't have an accurate launch date yet, either.
While other games come with intricate stories and complicated mechanics, as well as gameplay that requires some time getting used to, Toree Saturn does the opposite. The idea is to just run from start to finish through linear levels, playing as a bird with sunglasses and a backpack. The bird runs around and jumps, and while doing these, it can also collect stars and various speed boosts.
The game's audio background consists of tunes inspired by the late 1990s and early 2000s music, which will accompany the player while going through various levels with retro-looking, colorful visuals. Unlike other platformers, where the players need to hold down a button for running around, Toree Saturn no longer requires this, as most actions use the Jump button. The only exception is Ground Dash, which is performed with the help of the right trigger button.
Those still looking for the Nintendo Switch can grab it off Amazon bundled with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (3 months Nintendo Switch Online membership also included) for $359.99.
