Sony appears to be preparing a PlayStation 5 Pro launch for sometime this month, and, while there have been a handful of leaks purporting to reveal the PS5 Pro design, Sony may just have confirmed which design will adorn its mid-cycle gaming console refresh.
The rumoured design comes straight out of a Sony blog post promoting the PlayStation's 30th anniversary, which was also shared to Sony's social media pages (Instagram embedded below). The blog post and accompanying social media pages all featured a variation of the same teaser image, which had a background consisting of icons depicting iconic Sony gaming products.
One of the icons in the background appears to be a PS5 in an upright position, except there are three lines across the side of the console's icon. This has led many to believe that this confirms previous rumours that depicted a familiar PlayStation 5 body with three lines adorning the side of the console.
The original PS5 is also right there, unmistakably, alongside the suspected PlayStation 5 Pro, too, lending credence to the suggestion that this is representative of the PS5 Pro.
Either way, rumours and leaks claim that Sony will launch the PlayStation 5 Pro update in September this year, so we won't have to wait long to find out if this is the actual PS5 Pro design or not.
