The MagicBook Art 14 has been around for a few months now, albeit only in China, until earlier this week. Specifically, Honor introduced its latest Intel Meteor Lake-based laptop within its home market in early July. That changed yesterday though, when the company decided to bring the device to IFA 2024 in Berlin alongside the Magic V3, MagicPad 2 and the Watch 5.
While theMagic V3andMagicPad 2are already orderable across Europe and the UK, it remains unclear when Honor intends to start selling either theWatch 5or the MagicBook Art 14. A Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered version of the latter can also now be added to the list. Showcased on stage during Honor's IFA 2024 keynote, the MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon appears to retain all key aspects of the Intel variant that we recently reviewed.
For example, Honor reports that the Snapdragon variant also weighs roughly 1 kg while being about 10 mm thick at its thinnest point. Please note that the Intel variant's thickness expands to 12.9 mm at its rear. At any rate, the MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon features the same 14.6-inch OLED display as its Intel sibling, which outputs at 3.1K (3,120 x 2080) in a 3:2 aspect ratio with a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon should be relatively powerful too, albeit perhaps about 20% less so than its Intel counterpart. Although Qualcomm has just announced new Snapdragon X Plus chipsets like the X1P-42-100, Honor has opted for a more performant Snapdragon X Elite option. Based on the specifications shown below, the MagicBook Art 14 relies upon the X1E-80-100, which remains the third-most powerful Snapdragon X Elite chipset after the X1E-00-1DE and X1E-84-100. Unfortunately, Honor has not confirmed other specifications for its first Snapdragon-powered laptop yet, let alone a global release date.
