An Indian crypto exchange hacker, who managed to plunder more than $230 million in digital assets from WazirX in July, continues to launder their stolen Ethereum (ETH), the blockchain security firm PeckShield now notes.

According to the blockchain tracking platform, an address linked to the hacker transferred 5,000 ETH, currently valued at around $12 million, to a new wallet on Thursday.

The new wallet then swiftly laundered approximately 1,600 ETH, valued at $3.86 million, to Tornado Cash, an Ethereum-based coin mixing service that has been at the center of controversy for aiding users in concealing their digital assets.

The hacker has been actively moving their stolen crypto recently. Earlier this week, a different address connected to the WazirX exploit funneled 2600.1 ETH, currently valued at around $6.5 million, to Tornado Cash, according to PeckShield.

In total, the hacker looted the Indian exchange for $52.5 million in Ethereum, $102 million in Shiba Inu (SHIB), $11.24 million in Polygon (MATIC), $7.6 million in Pepe (PEPE), $3.5 million in Gala (GALA) and $5.79 million in Tether (USDT), crypto tracker Lookonchain noted in July.

Last month, WazirX announced that it would be rolling back all trades and restoring all associated account balances to what they were before the exchange halted withdrawals on July 18th.

Meanwhile, crypto sleuth ZachXBT says the hack appears to be traceable to North Korea’s notorious digital asset hacking organization The Lazarus Group.
