Cleer Audio unveils ARC 3 open-ear, wireless earphones with touchless head-tilt control, waterproof ear-clip design, Hi-Res Audio, Dolby Atmos, and AI ANC
Cleer Audio has unveiled six Arc 3 open-ear wireless earphone models with a waterproof ear-clip design optimized for a variety of uses, such as casual listening, gaming, sports, or heart monitoring. All models are IPX7-rated for waterproof use, allowing for water immersion up to one meter for 30 minutes.
The Arc 3 earphones utilize large 16.2 mm drivers coupled with a Qualcomm QCC5181 chipset that supports aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, LDAC, and Snapdragon Sound over multi-point Bluetooth 5.4 connections. This enables audio playback across a range of high-resolution Bluetooth codecs in addition to standard, lower-resolution SBC and AAC codecs. Dolby Atmos support reproduces immersive, 360° audio when watching movies.
The earphones support up to 24-bit 96 kHz lossy streams over aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC connections and 16-bit 44.1 kHz lossless streams over aptX Lossless connections. The Arc 3 uses Cleer DBE (Dynamic Bass Enhancement) 3.0 to automatically adjust the bass levels to compensate for the open design. Noise- and wind-cancelling microphones along with adaptive volume adjustment ensure clear calls.
Unique to the Arc 3, a tilt of the head performs touchless operations such as song skipping. They also support regular touch operation of the earphones. Each model also includes special features tailored for specific user needs. The Music Pro and Max models add AI active noise cancelling (ANC), while the Sport Pro model adds AI motion analysis for personal training recommendations. The Sport Pro and Max models add heart rate and blood oxygen concentration monitors. The Gaming and Max models include a USB dongle, enabling even lower latency of 29 ms for video gaming. The Sport models have a special equalization mode for sports use while the Gaming model has special tuning for video gaming use.
The charging case has an LCD touchscreen with clock display and can fully recharge the Arc 3 models four times. The Gaming, Music, and Sport models have a ten-hour runtime, Pro models have an eight-hour runtime, and the Max model has a four-hour runtime. The case also supports wireless recharging of its internal battery. Users can adjust Dolby Atmos settings, select equalization presets, find lost earphones, and more by using the touchscreen. Arc 3 earphones are sterilized with UV light when stored inside the cases.
The Arc3 earphones will be available on Amazon US after release:
