X-Protocol: A Layer-3 Blockchain Built on Ethereum Layer-2 Base, Targeting the Gaming and Entertainment Sectors

X-Protocol, a Layer-3 blockchain built on Ethereum Layer-2 Base, has announced that its Genesis NFT collection has sold out ahead of the upcoming launch of their Xardian Nodes.

The collection, consisting of 999 exclusive NFTs, was quickly minted during its public mint on August 22. These NFTs are now being traded on popular secondary markets like Magic Eden and OpenSea, with the floor price sitting at 0.0268 ETH.

What is X-Protocol?

Backed by venture capital firms including CoinFund, Saison Ventures and DragonFly Capital, X-Protocol is a modular Layer-3 blockchain that is specifically designed for the gaming and entertainment sectors.

Being built on Ethereum Layer-2 Base and utilizing their Superchain technology, X-Protocol is designed to be interoperable with EVM projects - enabling seamless migration and integration - and focuses on enhancing the scalability and efficiency of blockchain transactions.

X-Protocol provides developers with the infrastructure and tools to easily incorporate blockchain technology into gaming, addressing key challenges in web3 gaming such as high transaction fees and the complexities of wallet management.

“Our goal is to eliminate the process of web3 wallet handling in games which is not convenient for mass audiences,” said Dragonix, co-founder and Core Contributor to X-Protocol. “We’re also reducing high network fees and issues within blockchain gaming that limit its growth and adoption. We’d like to thank our Genesis holders who also share that vision.”

With an infrastructure that supports up to 1,000 transactions per second (TPS), X-Protocol bundles transactions together to significantly reduce costs. This approach is intended to decrease the load on the main Ethereum network, allowing for faster and more cost-effective transactions.

“X-Protocol’s interoperability features across games and platforms, multi-layered security protocols and incentivisation methods are some of the many key factors for investor interests so far in the Genesis collection,” added Dragonix. “Those who play games under the ecosystem or operate the coming nodes to validate our network will also be recipients of rewards within the ecosystem.”

Benefits of Holding a Genesis NFT

Holders of X-Protocol's Genesis NFTs will gain several key advantages, including guaranteed access to the upcoming Xardian Node sale. Genesis NFT holders will also receive airdrops of the platform's forthcoming $KICK Token.

Apart from these core benefits, these NFTs also offer multipliers for future airdrops, entry into raffles and contests, VIP access to ecosystem partners and exclusive experiences at community events.

X-Protocol's Expanding Ecosystem and Developments

X-Protocol has already showcased its utility in the gaming space through its integration with Wonderverse, a Telegram-based RPG game incubated by Seedify. This integration allows players to earn both $KICK and $WONDER tokens simultaneously.

Furthermore, X-Protocol has joined forces with Zap.tech as part of the Base Gigadrops initiative, which provides rewards to participants in various projects built on Ethereum Layer-2 Base.

As X-Protocol approaches its mainnet launch, the project is gearing up for the opening of the whitelist sale for Xardian Nodes on August 27. These nodes will offer rewards such as $KICK tokens, sequencer fees and access to future airdrops.
