Top US-based crypto exchange platform Coinbase is announcing a $15,000 grant program to push decentralized applications (DApps) built by artificial intelligence (AI).
Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase is offering $15,000 in grants to developers who build decentralized applications (DApps) using artificial intelligence (AI).
The grants, announced in a blog post on Monday, are part of Coinbase’s effort to make it easier for developers to build AI-powered DApps.
The exchange will award $3,000 each to three projects that build AI bots that use Coinbase’s MPC (multi-party computation) wallets.
These wallets allow AI agents to send and receive USDC payments on Base, an Ethereum layer-2 network, and earn yield on USDC wallet balances.
Coinbase’s MPC wallets are programmable and secure crypto wallets that are controlled by APIs (application programming interfaces).
Developers can use these APIs to integrate Coinbase’s wallets with their own applications.
The grants are open to developers of all experience levels. Applications will be judged on their creativity, technical merit, and potential for impact.
Developers can apply for the grants until March 15th.
Coinbase’s initiative comes amid growing interest in the use of AI for blockchain applications. Several projects are already exploring the use of AI to automate tasks such as trading, portfolio management, and even generating new crypto assets.
By offering grants to developers, Coinbase aims to accelerate the development of AI-powered DApps and further the integration of AI and blockchain technology.
